Zoie still has a sore wing so have been light flying her. Today i took her out twice she had two slips on squirrels. one she made a half hearted attempted and i think if she had been fitter she would have slammed it. The squirrel was in the crook of a tree and Zoie flew through the fork and took a side swipe at it as it dodged down the trunk. I saw it run down the trunk but didn't see it hit the ground so there must be a hole that i couldn't see that it ran into.

The other she just watched it run away. I could tell she is unfit by the fact that after a few minutes she would land at my feet and walk behind me or just sit there till i stopped walking. The wing is concerning me as she drops it when she is on the perch. I'll be pleased to get her back into flying fitness again.

I've had a few people ask me to come onto there land recently so the next few weekend will be prospecting. I wanted to go to the THA meeting but that's not going to happen. In some ways i wish there where more falconer's that where a little closer as it would be nice to have a mini meet some place and meet everyone i read about.
