I have been flying her the last few days but have not been happy with the way she is flying so after talking with my sponsor we are heading back to Dr Moore this week to get her wing looked at. This all really sucks. She has been flying hard enough but its become obvious she is in pain with the heavy breathing after flying a few yards. Unless proved other wise i think my season is over for this year so will be spending the time getting her back to health and fit again for next season. I want to inter-mew her just for the fun and experience of it. If the season is over then I'll be feeding her up and try and get the molt over and sorted as quickly as possible so we can go after some summer/autumn rabbits as quickly as possible and hit squirrel season again when it opens back up on May 15th. This however is the fall back plan hopefully her wing will be back to normal in a few weeks.

Well hopefully she makes a full recovery and you can still go hawking with her this season AND be able to intermew her. On a side note, I joined OFA but never got any kind of confirmation or anything like that.

Any more updates on the bird? Flying in the summer can be dangerous as heat and lower flying weights cause stress which can allow asper to take hold. Hopefully she has healed up well.
