New Year

Got Zoie back last night, Went over to Steve's to pick her up and we got her out of her GH. Her instant response was "OK wheres the food". I couldn't find the exit wound of where she got electrocuted but Steve showed me where it was. The entry point was on her primaries 2.5 inches from her wrist. Dianne Steve's wife got footed during the inspection so her reactions seem to be all in tact. Steve also showed me her reaction to light in her pupils so we know there is no brain swelling. Dr Moore decided as she was doing so well to cut back on her med's so instead of being on them for two weeks she will be on them for 1 week.

Medicating her is a little strange in that the lamisil was a singal tablet that we are cut up into 8 parts and she gets 1 part per day and then she gets a 1/2 tablet of the Amox twice a day. The cutting the tablet up into 8 then 7 then 6 etc is a bit strange but im sure someone with cocaine experience wouldn't have a problem.

Today and tomorrow she is resting in the weathering area but Dr Moore wants her flying on Sunday to make sure there are no other problems. So Steve and I will be heading out to check on her i really cant wait.

I owe a big thank you to Steve and Dr Moore for all they have done it was really good being able to sleep properly last night.

This has been an awesome year. I have learnt so much and experienced so much i never thought falconry could be anything like it has. I also need to thank my wife for letting em do all this even though at times she has wanted to pull her hair out as i have got obsessed with it.

Anyway in parting i just want to wish every one a Happy new year and way all your aspirations and desires come to fruition.

Peace be with you and yours.
