Well things are still going slowly and a few people have asked for an update.

The wing is closing up and all the swelling has gone down. She no longer has a wrap on and seems to be leaving it all well alone. So based on that we have decided to bring her weight back down. So far we have been dropping it 1% per day. The target date is to start flying around the 27th Feb and fly her as much as i can through march and then put her up for the season.

From that point I'm going to start working on Emma and another dog to train as flushing and bird dogs. I've been working with Emma but Emma is extremely timid ( we found her abandoned) and Zoie thinks shes a large rabbit. The last bit we really need to work on.

I've ordered a few books on game dog training to brush up on things. I did some training with a springer spaniel when i was a teenager. My dad did most of the training . She was a Field pure breed English Springer Spaniel and lived to the age of 14 probably the best dog i ever had.

So I'm looking forward to the coming months things are starting to pick up....

Great - my season just ended so I can live vicariously through your hunting. Glad the bird is doing better.
