Fitting the small cell foundation to the frames can be a little bit tricky. for one thing its very fragile ! I found on the wedge bars i had to nail at an angle because the nail would protrude out of the top bar. I'm going to put a small beed of wax along the bottom to make it more secure

Hi Stevo,
I was wondering what type of bottom bar that you have? If it is a grooved bottom bar, that can be a bit tricky. I personally use wired foundation with hooks on frames that have a wedge top and a split (divided) bottom bar. I run tinned, steel, 26 gauge wire on everything except foundation to be used for cut comb honey production. I install brass eyelets into the frames and run the wire horizontal and then embed the wire into the foundation wax. All brood comb should be wired. With small super foundation you can get away with not wiring horizontal. Although I do anyway since I hate to have blowouts occurring in the extractor.
they are grooved bottom bars and wedge top bars. They came with the brood boxes from dadant
