Not much happening
Not much happening right now. He's dropped a few more wing feathers and his first tail feather. Still feeding off the glove. I've been keeping him in doors during the bad weather. His current weight is hovering around 940g, I have noticed he drops more feathers when he is given fresh mice as opposed to quail.

Camp McFadden
I promised to help out with a Wild life Expo near Ponca City, The last time we promised this on the way up we had the horrible phone call that latrells father had been taken into hospital. Hoping lightning didn't strike twice a little later than we planned we head north for a 6 hour drive.
The plan was to teach people that Hawks and Falcons are fun and through some education to those interested about them and how they live in the wild and what we as falconers do with them in captivity. I haven t meet that many people from the OFA so it was also a chance to make new friends.
Camp McFadden is owned by the McFadden family the expo was a taster of what the camp can hold and provide. They are planning to hold children's summer camps and renovate the grounds. It can hold 70 people in cabins that sleep between 4 and 6 single. There are two class rooms as well as a lodge (with fire place) and full size kitchen. To rent the whole place for the weekend costs just $500 which isn't bad at all when spread out amongst 70 people That's $8 per person per weekend ! Oh yeah and more importantly did i mention they have Cotton tail rabbits running around everywhere.

Mark Runnels turned up with his family and brought Stormy a Gry/Perigrine hybrid. I must admit this is probably one of the prettiest falcons i have ever seen. We where expecting another falconer but due to other circumstance he didn't make it. My daughter got on really well with marks daughter and they spent most of the time on the Zip line or on a tire swing.

We ended up going to Marks house and ate on a really cool BBQ place on the way. The country side was amazing and we saw many different types of hawks flying around. Great weekend and lots of fun.
